The IHA’s cluster Photography and Film Studies is organizing the seminar Photography: dynamics, discourses and the impact of image in architecture exhibitions, to take place on the 8th of June. The invited lecturer is Paula André (ISCTE IUL – DINÂMIA’CET-IUL).
This session will address Photography as a documental instrument, a discoursive means and a poetic device through which urban and architectural culture of the twentieth century unfolds.
Paula André has a PhD in Architecture and Urbanism by ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. She is Assistant Professor of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism [School of Technology and Architecture]. She is a researcher at DINÂMIA’CET-IUL and a team member of the project Printed Photography: image and propaganda in Portugal (1934-1974).
