DESCRIPTION:RESONANCE Reading Group\n#2 Exhausting Dance – Chapter 5\, by André Lepecki\nFebruary 9\, 2026 | 1:30 PM\nOnline\n  \nThe RESONANCE Reading Group is a monthly meeting that brings together members of the academic community\, colleagues\, friends\, and enthusiasts of contemporary cultural history to reflect on and discuss a fundamental text or book. It is part of the project RESONANCE — Epistemologies for the Documentation of Affect and Becoming in Cultural Manifestations in Performance (1969-1979). This group meets in person at NOVA FCSH or online\, during lunchtime on a weekday. Each participant brings their own lunch\, and for in-person sessions\, coffee and biscuits are kindly provided by the project.\n  \nThe second session of the RESONANCE Reading Group focuses on Chapter 5 of the book Exhausting Dance: Performance and the Politics of Movement\, by André Lepecki. The chapter – Stumbling Dance: William Pope.L’s Crawls – continues Lepecki’s exploration of modernity’s temporality\, rhythm\, and kinetics. This is a fundamental reading on the politics of space and the public sphere through and with performance and dance. DESCRIPTION:Dordio Gomes e a pintura mural no Porto. Cal\, pigmentos e píxeis\nDe 12 fevereiro a 2 maio\, 2026\nFaculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto\n  \nCuradoria Científica: Begoña Farré Torras e Leticia Crespillo Marí\nCuradoria de Animação: Marta Soares\n  \nO Instituto de História da Arte\, em colaboração com a Faculdade de Belas Artes da U.Porto (FBAUP)\, apresenta a exposição “Dordio Gomes e a pintura mural no Porto”\, resultante do projeto exploratório Mural in Motion [2023.11110.PEX].\nA pintura mural a fresco ocupou um lugar de relevo na prática artística e na atividade docente de Dordio Gomes. Contudo\, esta dimensão da sua obra permanece ainda pouco conhecida do grande público. Os murais que produziu no Porto entre 1944 e 1961\, cuja natureza arquitetónica impede a sua deslocação\, ganham agora nova visibilidade através da digitalização\, que permite a sua transposição para o espaço expositivo.\nA exposição articula a reprodução digital com testemunhos materiais para dar a conhecer os frescos de Dordio Gomes e sensibilizar o público para as questões que a pintura mural de meados do século XX levanta hoje\, enquanto património integrado no tecido da cidade. Através de diferentes formatos de apresentação do mural – projeções à escala real\, dispositivos interativos\, reconstruções tridimensionais\, animações\, maquetes e painéis produzidos a fresco –\, a exposição procura revelar a complexidade da ‘equação mural’\, conceito que sintetiza a interdependência entre encomenda\, espaço\, arquitetura\, receção pública e contexto sociopolítico.\nO percurso expositivo organiza-se em vários núcleos temáticos que contextualizam a produção mural de Dordio Gomes no âmbito do programa da Síntese das Artes\, promovido pela Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto\, e exploram os processos de encomenda oficial durante o Estado Novo\, bem como as questões patrimoniais relacionadas com a preservação da arte integrada na arquitetura. Uma breve reflexão final sobre a fotogrametria – o processo de digitalização que possibilitou o registo e a exposição das obras apresentadas – sublinha o papel mediador da tecnologia na comunicação do património artístico.\nCom entrada livre\, pode ser visitada de terça-feira a sábado\, das 14h00 às 18h00.\n  \nCATÁLOGO DA EXPOSIÇÃO
