Biography

Nuno Senos is associate professor of Early Modern Art and Architecture at the Department of History of Art, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He holds a PhD in History of Early Modern Art from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. His research and teaching interests range from 16th-century architecture, with a special focus on residential architecture, to architecture in colonial Brazil, to art consumption in Early Modern Portugal.

Nuno Senos é professor associado do Departamento de História da Arte da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Tendo-se doutorado em História da Arte Moderna pelo Institute of Fine Arts, da New York University, os seus interesses de investigação e focos de ensino estendem-se da arquitectura quinhentista portuguesa, com especial atenção às estruturas residenciais, à arquitectura do Brasil colonial, e ao consumo artístico em Portugal na Idade Moderna.
