Biography

Degree in drawing and painting from Ar.Co., bachelor’s, and master’s degree in Art History from NOVA FCSH. Defended her master’s thesis on “Georges Bataille and the birth of art” in 2022. Her interests mainly regard the practical and theoretical foundations of the relation between art and religion, as well as questions concerning image theory in philosophy and art theory. Her PhD thesis centres on the place occupied by air inside the picture plane.

Formada em desenho e pintura pelo Ar.Co., licenciada e mestre em História da Arte pela NOVA FCSH. Defendeu a sua dissertação de Mestrado sobre “Georges Bataille e o nascimento da arte” em 2022. Interessa-se pelos fundamentos práticos e teóricos da relação entre arte e religião, assim como questões relacionadas com a teoria da imagem na filosofia e teoria da arte. Na sua tese de Doutoramento, centra-se sobre o lugar ocupado pelo ar no plano da representação.
