Biography
Pablo Gumiel is a Spanish historian of art that during last years has developed a research career focused on the study of civil architecture under royal promotion during XIV and XV centuries. He collaborated as a freelance member of the research group “ARS PECULIARIS, Identity and particularities of the Hispanic Medieval Art” in the Autónoma University of Madrid. Concurrently he has worked as a visiting researcher in the University of York (2015-2016), the Academy of Arts and Architecture of Prague (2017-2018) and the University of Seville (2019). Nowadays he is a Marie Curie predoctoral member of the international project PALAMUSTO. More specifically he is working in “Parques de Sintra-Monte da Lua (PSML)” and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal), researching the role of water in early modern palaces.
