Biography
Tomás Gorjão (1997) was born in Lisbon, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Art History at NOVA-FCSH financed by a FCT scholarship. In academic context, he has written essays about French Surrealism, Walter Benjamin, Auguste Rodin, Andy Warhol and Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, among other topics. He completed his MA in Art History and Heritage at the School of Letters and Humanities of the University of Lisbon with a dissertation about Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. He is one of the founders, directors and contributors of Lote, an independent magazine which publishes poetry and essays. Aside from Lote, he has been published in Gazeta de Poesia Inédita, Brotéria, Shifter, Punkto and Flanzine, among other online and printed publications. He has published poetry and has published texts (essays, short and long, reviews and catalogue entries) about cannabis, José de Guimarães, Wayne Thiebaud, Walter Benjamin, Bruno Nogueira and Barbenheimer, among other topics.

Tomás Gorjão nasceu em Lisboa em 1997. É doutorando da NOVA-FCSH, integrado no seu Instituto de História da Arte e financiado por uma bolsa da FCT. Finalizou o Mestrado em História da Arte na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa com uma dissertação sobre Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. É fundador, director e editor da revista Lote. Está aí publicado, bem como noutras revistas e publicações online, como na Brotéria, na Shifter, na Punkto, na Flanzine ou na Acanto, entre outras publicações. Publicou poesia e já publicou textos sobre canábis, José de Guimarães, Wayne Thiebaud, Walter Benjamin, Bruno Nogueira e o fenómeno do Barbenheimer, entre outros tópicos.
