Biography
Tomás Gorjão (1997) was born in Lisbon, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Art History at NOVA FCSH. In academic context, he has written essays about the Musée d’Orsay, Paula Rego, Max Ernst, French Surrealism, Walter Benjamin, Auguste Rodin, Wayne Thiebaud, Guillaume Apollinaire, Andy Warhol and Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso. He is one of the founders, directors, editors and contributors of Lote, an independent magazine which publishes poetry and essays. Aside from Lote, he has been published in Gazeta de Poesia Inédita, A Bacana, Brotéria, Shifter, Prometheus, Punkto, Oresteia, Flanzine and in the feuilleton published by Medula, an independent publishing house. He writes poetry and has published texts (essays, short and long, reviews and catalogue entries) about cannabis, José de Guimarães, Isabel Rio Novo, Wayne Thiebaud, Walter Benjamin and Bruno Nogueira.

Tomás Gorjão nasceu em Lisboa em 1997. É doutorando da NOVA FCSH, acolhido no Instituto de História da Arte. É fundador, director e editor da revista Lote. Está aí publicado, bem como noutras revistas e publicações online, como na Brotéria, na Shifter, na Punkto, na Oresteia, na Flanzine e no folhetim da Medula. Escreve poesia e já escreveu textos sobre canábis, José de Guimarães, Isabel Rio Novo, Wayne Thiebaud, Walter Benjamin e Bruno Nogueira. Traduziu Maria Brás Ferreira e André Osório.
