Biography
Tomás Gorjão (1997) is a writer and art historian born and based in Lisbon, Portugal, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Art History at NOVA-FCSH financed by a FCT scholarship. He is one of the founders and directors of Lote magazine. He has published poetry in several magazines, as well as essays, reviews, and other texts about cannabis, Diego Velázquez, Walter Benjamin, and the Barbenheimer phenomenon, among other topics. He is the author of A tela e o jornal [The canvas and the newspaper] (2024), a book about the intermedial aspects of the work of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in relation to fin-de-siècle mass culture.

Tomás Gorjão (1997) nasceu em Lisboa e é crítico e investigador. É doutorando da NOVA-FCSH, integrado no seu Instituto de História de Arte e financiado por uma bolsa da FCT. É fundador e director da revista Lote. Está aí publicado, bem como na Brotéria, na Flanzine, na Punkto, entre outras publicações. Publicou poesia e também ensaios e recensões sobre vários tópicos, incluindo canábis, Diego Velázquez, Walter Benjamin, o fenómeno do Barbenheimer, entre outros. É o autor de A tela e o jornal (Caleidoscópio, 2024), livro dedicado à obra do pintor francês Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
